If your team is eliminated in the playoffs, you MUST return your team jersey and socks that night or by April 26. Failure to do so may result in a HK$300 fine and will need to be paid in order to play in the Hockey 5’s tournament or summer league.
IceWolves defeated Cougars 2-1
IceWolves – Eric Pang, John Lundrigan, 1g each, Jeff Poon, Suen Chun Fung, Jason Leung, 1a each. Jerome Lui with 13 saves.
Cougars –Tsui Timmy 1g, Keith Fong, Feidi Choi,1a each. Franky Choi with 20 saves.
The KEG 3 Stars of the game – 1) Eric Pang 2) Franky Choi 3) John Lundrigan
Recap – Eric Pang scored with 7:36 left in the third period breaking a 1-1 deadlock, to give the IceWolves the win and the Division 3 Championship. Eugene Lundrigan got the IceWolves on board at 4:50 of the first, firing in a shot from the slot past Franky Choi. The Cougars picked up the pace in the second but couldn’t score. It stayed that way until the third period when Fei Di Choi’s point shot deflected off a defenceman, off Keith Fong’s stick and then off Timmy Tsui’s stick past Jerome Lui for a 1-1 tie. However, against the grain of the play, IceWolves came up the ice and Pang who was left wide open, scored the go ahead goal. The IceWolves hung on for the win. Congrats – IceWolves, Division 3 Champions. |
